What does your
connection need to do?

A straight run, a corner and a branch call for different shapes. Compare these three real options from the 1/4″ micro-fitting range.

Coupling, 1/4 inch micro fitting

A straight connection.

A coupling continues the line in the same direction. This 1/4″ micro fitting has two barbed ends.

Same shape. A different family.

The 1/4″ micro coupling above and this 3/4″ PVC insert coupling both join a straight run. Their names, sizes and connection families are different. Check the whole product specification before choosing, rather than matching the silhouette.

“1/2 inch” is only
part of the story.

Read the connection type and the measurement that follows it. These adapters make the difference visible in the name.

Three specific listings.

Two of these start with a 1/2″ slip connection, but list different tubing ODs. The 3/4″ slip model lists a different OD again. A photo cannot stand in for those measurements.

Compare the tubing measurement named in the listing. Nominal inch labels, millimetre sizes, ID and OD are not interchangeable labels.

Brown dripperline in a tied coil

Plan the line
around your plants.

Planter boxes, containers and smaller garden areas bring the route into focus. Think about the length of the run and where the listed emitter spacing will fall before choosing the line.

This coil puts four useful details together:

Coil length
100 feet
Emitter spacing
6 inches
Listed flow
1/2 GPH
Tube dimensions
0.170″ × 0.250″

The coil, fittings and control parts are separate products. Confirm the connections for your setup before ordering.

Control and filtration.
Different jobs.

The Green Back Valve is an on/off part for low-pressure irrigation. A filter/regulator is a separate choice with its own connection, flow range and pressure specification.

The last little parts
have different jobs, too.

Holding a hose, closing its end and sealing an emitter hole are separate tasks. Pick the part for the job, then confirm its listed size and sales unit.

LDPE Ratchet Clamp for 16mm to 18mm Hoses

A little attention
to every connection.

A coupling, a tee, an end plug. The useful details are in the connections, dimensions and sales units. DripLattice brings those parts into one place so you can compare them before you choose.

Start with the job on your workbench. Follow it through to the exact product and option you need.
